Arrival

3rd August 2014

Alhamdulillah, my classmates and I had safely arrived in Manchester Airport at 7.25 a.m. local time. There are 20 of us students in total and we were accompanied by our lecturer from Liverpool John Moores University, Mr. Nazali. It had been a long journey for us. We had boarded the flight from Kuala Lumpur to Abu Dhabi at 8.35 p.m. and arrived in Abu Dhabi at 11.40 p.m. We waited around 2 hours for our transit to Manchester and we boarded the flight to Manchester at 2.30 a.m.

After done collecting our luggage, we headed to the exit of the Manchester Airport all overwhelmed with excitement. As I step out of the airport, I was quite surprised with the cold weather because I thought it would be pretty warm as it was still summer. The strong wind makes the weather felt so much colder but we were excited with the weather because for most of us, it was our first time to experience such a weather.

There is a bus waiting for us outside the airport to take us to the place that we will be staying at during our time in Liverpool. The place is called Liberty Atlantic Point and it is just a walking distance from our faculty at Liverpool John Moores University. We arrived around 8 a.m. and were greeted by a few Malaysian students that were already staying there. They arranged us according to our flats with 6 people in one flat and every each person will be having their own room with a bath. My flatmates and I were satisfied with the condition of the flat when we walked into the flat for the first time because it was clean and everything were in order. There is a pantry that consists of a kitchen and a seating area with a TV for us to watch and spend our time together. The kitchen also comes with a set of cooking and eating utensil for every each person. If there is any problems with our accommodation, Gary from the reception will be the guy to help and sort out our problems.

  1. Good. Thank you for setting the blog up Nabila. I expect you to make sure that everybody update this blog everyday. Make sure it contains lots of pictures, and it details about what you learn during class and visits. We would like to also read about other normal activities that you did outside of class.
